Up, up and away – Balloons by Emily
Based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire
A month after the first lockdown was declared, it was my son’s 2nd birthday and it really made me realise how we shouldn’t take freedom for granted, so I promised myself that on his 3rd birthday we would celebrate in style with music, presents, family time and of course balloons. I have since made it my mission to help others celebrate every life event to the fullest making every last detail perfect.
I come from a project coordinator background in the construction industry and after being made redundant shortly after the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic began in 2020, I decided it was the time to coordinate my own projects, these ones designed and constructed by myself, with the help of my lovely customers and their creative ideas.
This is when Up, up and away – Balloons by Emily was born (August 2021).
My passion for art and design stemmed from a very young age, in fact I even transformed my parents spare bedroom into an ‘art room’ at the age of 8. During secondary school I even turned down two opportunities as it meant I would of had to forgo my art lessons, I then took BTEC Art and Design at GCSE and achieved 4 distinction *’s – equivalent to 4 A*’s.
I’m well known with my family and friends for having that extra eye for detail, alongside that, I love nothing more than the challenge of bringing other peoples vision to life – making their event nothing less than perfect.
